By using rail transport, KremsChem Austria GmbH, together with the Rail Cargo Group, was able to significantly reduce CO₂ emissions in 2024:
- For a specific segment of our raw materials and finished products, consistent use of rail transport is possible. Through this, KremsChem Austria GmbH, in cooperation with the Rail Cargo Group, reduced transport-related CO₂ emissions for these product groups by over 93% in 2024 compared to road transport.
- In absolute numbers, this amounts to 567.27 tons of CO₂ (eq) for a transport volume of over 259,800 tons.
- Compared to road transport, this is a saving of 8,019.05 tons of CO₂ (eq).
These figures clearly demonstrate that sustainable transport solutions make a measurable contribution to climate protection.
