After around 15 months of intensive project work, KremsChem Austria, together with our digitalization partner COSMO CONSULT, has successfully gone live with a completely new ERP and process management landscape.
By implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, COSMO Chemicals, and the WEBCON BPS workflow platform, we have established a modern, cloud-based system landscape that seamlessly connects our production, quality, and logistics processes.
A particular focus was placed on transport logistics:
The new solution now manages the loading and unloading of individual rail wagons, block trains, and trucks, while also supporting numerous safety, approval, and documentation processes. Thanks to the direct integration with our ERP system, inventory, material, and transport data are available in real time.
Key highlights of the new solution include:
- Cloud-based ERP powered by Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and COSMO Chemicals
- Digital management of rail and truck logistics, including direct integration with our site logistics partner, Rail Cargo Group
- Paperless warehouse operations with mobile data capture
- End-to-end batch management, along with digital quality assurance and laboratory processes
- Automated generation of transport-related documents based on integrated safety data
The project demonstrates how modern digitalization can help make complex processes in the process chemicals industry more efficient, transparent, and future-ready.
