ISCC EU Certification according to RED III for KremsChem Austria GmbH

The closure of value chains and the complete utilization of resources and energy carriers in production processes are a necessary and important milestone in the advancement of industrial production methods. The use of sustainable energy sources plays a central role in this. These efforts have now successfully led us to obtain the ISCC EU certification under the revised Renewable Energy Directive RED III (Directive (EU) 2023/2413).

  • Certified facility: Energy generation (electricity, heat, or cooling) from bioliquids
  • Standard: ISCC EU – International Sustainability and Carbon Certification

What is ISCC EU?
ISCC (International Sustainability and Carbon Certification) EU is an internationally recognized system for verifying sustainable production and supply chains. The ISCC EU certification requirements meet the criteria of the Renewable Energy Directives (RED II & RED III) and ensure that raw materials such as biomass or biofuels are sustainably produced, processed, and used.

With this certification, KremsChem Austria GmbH underscores its clear commitment to sustainability, climate protection, and forward-looking energy generation in line with current EU regulations – another step toward responsible industrial processes.
